If you have a valid Short-term Visit Pass, you can apply for an extension of your stay in Singapore for up to 89 days.
A short-term visit pass (STVP), generally in the form of an electronic visit pass or e-Pass, is issued at the point of entry to visitors who are eligible for entry and short-term stay in Singapore as a tourist; for social visit, or medical treatment.

The decision to extend your stay is made by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Singapore, applying for an extension of stay does not guarantee a positive response from Immigration.

Visa extension
For 30 days for tourist visa holders
You will need the following documents to apply for an extension of stay
Scan of valid passport that shows your personal particulars
Scan of your SG Arrival Card with Disembarkation / Embarkation (D/E) number
Scan of your tourist visa (if any)
Additional documents or clarifications may be required on a case-by-case basis, and you and your local sponsor (if applicable) may be requested to upload the scanned copies of the original documents during the online submission, or to bring the original documents for an interview at the Visitor Services Centre, which is located on Level 4 of the ICA Building. Some examples are below:
- For visitors with immediate family members who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents: original supporting documents may be required to establish the relationship.
- For visitors seeking extension of stay for medical treatment: a completed FormV75 duly endorsed by a registered doctor in Singapore with details of the illness and the period of stay required.
Application for extension of stay can be submitted up to 14 days before the STVP expires.
Stay may be extended for either up to 30 days or up to 89 days (only for applicants with immediate family members who are SC/PR).
Local Sponsor Requirement
You will require a local sponsor to support your application for extension of stay if you are:
- Seeking an extension of up to 89 days from your date of entry; or
- A national of the countries or holder of the passports listed below.
- Holders of Palestinian Authority Passport
- Temporary Passport issued by the United Arab Emirates
- Refugee Travel Document issued by Middle-East countries
- The period of extension granted is subject to ICA’s assessment
The extension of Visit Pass will be processed within five working days (excluding Public Holidays and weekends). Some applications may take longer to process.
In case of a positive decision of Immigration on the extension of stay in Singapore, an e-notification on the application outcome will be sent to the email provided in the application.
In case of a rejection of the application for the extension of stay in Singapore, the fees of $200 are non-refundable.
